About Me

Dr. Shivani Swami has around 13 years of experience in the field of Respiratory Diseases. She has performed over 500 bronchoscopies, including various interventions like biopsies, brushings, laser de-bulking of tumors, endobronchial stenting etc. She is also skilled in performing thoracoscopies in all pleural pathologies, both rigid and flex-rigid. She is also trained in endobronchial ultrasound guided TBNA and ultrasound of chest. She also performs all other routine respiratory procedures.

She was among the first few in the country to successfully complete one year of training in sleep medicine. She was also in charge of the sleep lab at Fortis Hospital, Delhi and has over 400 Sleep Studies to her credit. Dr. Shivani Swami has vast experience of working in metro cities like Mumbai and Delhi. She brings with her a rich background of working with institutes like Medanta- The Medicity and Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. She is competent in managing critically ill patients proven with her experience in critical care at Batra Hospital and Fortis Hospital, New Delhi.

She was actively involved in the DNB program at Fortis Hospital as Faculty and was also part of drug trials. She also has numerous publications to her credit, apart from having contributed various chapters in textbooks and having authored a book, herself on Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders. She also holds the distinction of being a faculty at various conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Dr. Swami completed her initial medical training at Pune after which she pursued her MD in Respiratory Diseases from Mumbai. Subsequently, she got trained in Sleep Medicine and also worked at premier institutes like Batra Hospital, Medanta-The Medicity, Fortis Hospital. She is also a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians and has recently been trained in Interventional Pulmonology from Leicester UK. We are honored to have such a talented Doctor in our team.
