Calcium test is performed on a sample of blood to measure a level of Calcium levels in blood in blood. No special preparation is needed for Calcium. Inform your doctor if you are on any medications or have any underlying medical conditions or allergies before undergoing Calcium. Your doctor depending on your condition will give specific instructions.
Calcium is done using Ion specific Electrode Potentiometric method on a Blood sample. A blood sample of minimum 5mL is required for this test.
The normal result for Calcium for Calcium levels in blood is 8.9 - 10.1 mg/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups.
